Ooni of Ife unhappy about Oba of Lagos palace fire outbreak



The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, has expressed sadness over the fire outbreak that occured at the palace of the Oba of Lagos saying he has nothing to do with it
Considering the fact that this fire incident happened roughly a week after a clash between the two kings where the Oba of Lagos snubbed the Ooni at a public function, there was speculation that the fire outbreak was connected to it.
One of the officials of the Ooni of Ife has tagged the fire incident a mere coincidence.
The Ooni of Ife spokesman,Moses Olafare has said  that the Ooni is  not happy about the fire.
He said:
"We are unhappy over the fact that the palace of Oba of Lagos got burnt, we can only sympathise with the palace on the development"
"People are entitled to their own views" He continued, "But what people say doesnt really count. It's only their own opinion and doesn't represent the opinion of the Ooni of Ife

OOUTH doctors begin weekend strike as Government fails to grant their request

Resident Doctors at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, Ogun State, have begun weekend  strike after their negotiations with the state government for improved pay collapsed. The doctors had embarked on a three-day warning strike over appropriate remuneration and appropriate hazard allowance et al which led to negotiations between them and the state government. It was learnt that the doctors under the aegis of the Association of Resident Doctors at the OOUTH were unable to reach agreements with their employers on some of their demands. In their   letter to  Governor Dapo Abiodun, they claimed  the state government   was  not committed to their welfare. The letter  jointly signed by the union’s president, Dr Popoola Mutiu, and the general secretary, Dr Osundara Tope, said  the association had resolved to work only week days and stay at home  during  weekends. Big Brother Naija 2019 housemate, Khafi on Thursday revealed a scary dream she had about fellow BBNaija housemate, Seyi. The Police officer, during her diary section, said after a disagreement with Seyi, she had a nap and in her dream, she saw Seyi trying to stab her with a knife. According to her, Seyi is opinionated and wants to direct his way. She said, ” Big Brother, this week has been very intense and our task is very demanding. In fact, its been so intense that I had to get a nap and in my dream, I saw Seyi trying to stab me with a knife. ”Maybe due to our little disagreement with the task, but I just had to shout Bigge look what Seyi is trying to do to me and after that, I woke up. ”However, I’m just giving him space cause I don’t want wahala.” Khafi also added that she was curious to know If the new housemate watched the show before coming to the house.

Ondo, Borno, Edo, five others reject home treatment for COVID-19 patients

Amid the rising number of cases and the refusal of some persons who test positive for COVID-19 to go  to isolation centres, many states have said they will continue to treat the infected patients at isolation centres rather than resort to home treatment option. They noted that getting persons who had tested positive for the virus to the isolation centres remained one of their strategies to contain the spread of the deadly virus.  Lagos State had on Thursday said it was considering adopting home treatment option for patients with mild symptoms, noting that it would soon release the guidelines for the treatment option. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said the decision to consider home treatment for some COVID-19 patients became necessary because some residents who tested positive for the COVID-19 refused to go to the state isolation centres and had been practising self-treatment in various places.
